Two men were hospitalized early Wednesday morning after separate shootings in Stockton, police said.

According to the Stockton Police Department, the first shooting was reported around 12:29 a.m. on Hazelton Avenue in the city’s Seaport District. A 51-year-old man was dropped off at a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim told officers he had been shot while on Hazelton Avenue, but was unable to describe the suspect.

About four hours later, around 4:07 a.m., officers responded to another shooting in the 700 block of North California Street in the Civic District. A 55-year-old man told investigators he was shot by unknown suspects before walking to a hospital for treatment. His injuries were also described as non-life-threatening.

No suspect information was immediately available in either case.
