A Manteca man was arrested Tuesday after police said he broke into a Stockton home through a window, assaulted a woman inside, and stole her phone before fleeing.
The alleged attack happened around 6:10 a.m. at a residence in the 9000 block of Stacey Court, according to the Stockton Police Department.
Police said the 35-year-old woman knew the suspect, identified as Michael Gonzalez, 33, of Manteca. After the robbery, officers searched the area and later located Gonzalez in Manteca, where he was taken into custody.
Gonzalez was booked into jail on suspicion of residential robbery and outstanding warrants, police said. The victim’s condition was not immediately released.
