Stockton, it’s time to dine out.
The 16th Stockton Restaurant Week kicked off Friday and celebrates the area’s vibrant and diverse dining options. The 10-day promotion runs through January 25 and is organized by Visit Stockton, and encourages locals and visitors to try fixed-price menus at participating restaurants, ranging from breakfast spots to dinner venues.
Stockton Restaurant Week began in 2009 and has grown into one of Visit Stockton’s flagship programs, drawing diners to both established favorites and newer additions while supporting independent businesses.
The event also features social media promotions and giveaways, including chances to win restaurant gift cards. Diners can find full details on menus, participating locations and specials at Visit Stockton website or on social media.
“One of Stockton’s greatest strengths is the diversity of its dining scene,” said Robyn Camino, CEO of Visit Stockton, in a released statement. “Stockton Restaurant Week highlights the range of cuisines and locally owned businesses that make Stockton a compelling place to visit and live.”
Visit Stockton, the city’s official destination marketing organization, is a nonprofit founded in 1979. It promotes the community through tourism initiatives funded in part by the Stockton Tourism Business Improvement District, which includes local hotels. The group aims to enhance the quality of life, support economic growth and foster civic pride.
This year’s lineup includes more than 30 restaurants, offering a mix of cuisines including American, Italian, Vietnamese, Japanese, Mexican, Greek and Indian.
