Polls closed at 8 p.m. in San Joaquin County and shortly after the first wave of ballot tallies were released.

Initial results were from all mail-in ballots received as of Saturday, according to the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters. But more votes were tallied throughout the night, with the last update being just after 4:30 a.m.

In the county’s largest race, the registrar is still reporting Democratic Rep. Josh Harder with a commanding lead over local Republican business man Tom Patti in the race for the 9th Congressional 9th District. Though the gap in votes between the two candidates narrowed overnight.

MICHELE PADILLA — 3,500 (59.89%)

SOL JOBRACK — 2,344 (40.11%)

13th State Assembly District

CARLOS VILLAPUDUA — 23,063 (61.55%)

VERONICA VARGAS — 14,406 (38.45%)

County Supervisor District 2

PAUL CANEPA — 7,803 (56.70%)

ELBERT HOLMAN JR. — 5,959 (43.30%)

County Supervisor District 4

STEVE DING — 8,843 (52.07%)

STEVE COLANGELO — 8,141 (47.93%)
