The roar of monster trucks and race cars should make for a particularly exciting weekend for gearheads.
If you’re instead seeking a chance to celebrate Mother’s Day, there’s something for you, too.
Here’s a look at a few of the weekend offerings around Stockton. Read on for a sampling of events from Visit Stockton and other community event organizers.
Monster Truck Madness
Stockton Dirt Track | San Joaquin County Fairgrounds | 1658 S. Airport Way, Stockton
Saturday | 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Tickets: $10 ages 11 and up, $15 for ages 3-10, 2 and under free
Some not-so-lean crushing machines will be kicking up dirt at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds with Monster Truck Madness.
These trucks come ready to show off extreme stunts under the names of Rock Star, California Kid, Identity Theft, Spitfire, Reverse and Titan.
Gates open for a pit party at 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to meet the drivers and ride in a monster truck yourself. Pit party entry is free to the public.
Parking is $10 (cash only).

Stockton 99 Speedway
4105 N. Wilson Way, Stockton
Saturday | 6 p.m.
Tickets: $20 adults, $15 for juniors and seniors and military. Children 10 and under free
If you’re an asphalt addict, the 99 Speedway’s got you covered. Drivers are firing up their engines for a weekend full of racing.
Multiple racing divisions are set to go head-to-heat on May 10, including Stockton Late Models, Pure Stocks, Fast Kar Solutions, Mini Modifieds, Legends of Kearney Bowl and NCMA Sprint Cars.
Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and general admission opens at 5 p.m. Races begin at 6 p.m.
A family pass is also available for $55, which includes two adults and two juniors.

Something Mystic This Way Comes …
Windmill Cove | 7600 Windmill Cove Rd., Stockton
Saturday | 2 p.m.
For those seeking a laid-back weekend, the Windmill Cove is hosting a free live music night by the Delta on Saturday. The kick-off event of the Summer Sounds series brings the Mystic Vinyl band to the stage, setting the vibes with timeless rock and blues.
The series will continue through September. The first show begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. To view the full schedule, see here.

Mother’s Day Market At The Well
1200 N Center St, Stockton
Saturday | 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Visitors are welcome to stop by and browse a wide selection of handmade goods and personal gifts for a special loved one. The event will feature small businesses from around the area.
Admission is free and open to the public. The Well is a cozy coffee shop located at 1200 N. Center St., where guests can also grab a drink or pastry while they shop.
Guided Mother’s Day Tour at Lodi Lake
Lodi Boathouse | 1101 W Turner Rd, Lodi
Sunday | 8:30 a.m.
The Lodi Boathouse is offering tours for a calm, relaxing morning on the water at Lodi Lake.
The Sunday package includes a rental kayak, paddle and personal floatation device.
Recommended items to bring are sunscreen, bug spray, and weather appropriate clothing.
Tours will launch from the boathouse at 8:30 a.m., lasting about two hours and stopping for snacks along the way. Arrive at least 20 minutes early to check in.
