From charity drives and Christmas concerts to live theater, pottery workshops and the last two weeks of the year offer Stockton families plenty of ways to celebrate, give back and connect. Here’s a roundup of local events happening this weekend:

Lincoln Center Coat and Sock Drive
Through Dec. 31 | Various Lincoln Center stores | Free to donate

Help keep Stockton warm this winter by donating new socks or new and gently used coats during the Lincoln Center Coat and Sock Drive. Collection bins are available at multiple stores and businesses across Lincoln Center including Artesian Natural Foods, Best Wishes, Flair Boutique, F&M Bank, Orange Theory Fitness, Parkwoods Cleaners, Theadora Boutique, The UPS Store, Shine Cycle + Yoga + Barre, Village Barber Shop and Wesson Hearing Aid Center.

All items will benefit those in need through Gospel Center Rescue Mission. Donations are accepted during store hours through Dec. 31.


Home for the Holidays at Stockton Civic Theatre
Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. | Dec. 20 at 1 and 6:30 p.m. | 2312 Rosemarie Lane | $25 adults, $15 students/children

Stockton Civic Theatre brings the warmth of classic holiday specials to the stage with Home for the Holidays, a new concert event filled with familiar songs, nostalgic storytelling and local talent. Hosted by Sara St. Pierre Melendez, the show features veteran SCT performers, the Stockton Youth Chorale, surprise guests and live accompaniment by the Port City Jazz Orchestra.

Directed by James Reed with music direction by Alex Annen and orchestration by Robert Brown, this cozy concert is a new tradition for the whole family.

Christmas at the Fair
Dec. 19–30 | 5–9 p.m. weekdays, 5–10 p.m. weekends | San Joaquin County Fairgrounds | $10 presale, $15 at the gate, free for youth with parent

The San Joaquin County Fairgrounds transforms into a winter wonderland with Christmas at the Fair, a family-friendly festival featuring carnival rides, ice skating, photos with Santa, face painting, live Christmas plays and more.

Attractions include a faux-snow play zone, kids’ craft station, illuminated mini golf and seasonal concessions. Admission is free for children under 18 with a parent. Ride wristbands are sold separately.

The fair is closed Christmas Day.


Pacific Women’s Basketball vs. Washington
Dec. 21 | 1 p.m. | Alex G. Spanos Center at University of the Pacific | $8+

Come cheer on the Pacific Tigers as the women’s basketball team hosts the Washington Huskies in a home game at Alex G. Spanos Center. Pacific competes in NCAA Division I and is part of the West Coast Conference.

Supper with Santa
Dec. 21 | 2–4 p.m. | First Congregational Church, 2562 Pacific Ave. | Free

Celebrate the season with a family-friendly, interfaith event at First Congregational Church of Stockton. Supper with Santa includes seasonal songs, hands-on crafts, holiday stories, a pizza meal and a visit from St. Nick.

All are welcome to attend. No registration is required.


Christmas Tree Pottery Workshop at In Season
Dec. 21 | 12–2 p.m. | In Season Market & Nursery, 215 E. Alpine Ave. | $35

Create a ceramic Christmas tree luminary at this hands-on pottery class taught by local artist Alicia Vandebor. All tools, clay and glaze are provided, and finished pieces will be kiln-fired and available for pickup in 3–4 weeks.
