From national comedy tours and Broadway-style musicals to crab feeds and hat decorating, this weekend in Stockton and nearby cities brings a mix of entertainment, food and fun for all ages. Here are some highlights happening Jan. 16 to 18:

Freaky Friday: The Musical
Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, 715 N. Central Ave., Tracy
Jan. 16 at 7 p.m., and Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Admission: $30

This family-friendly musical comedy tells the story of a stressed-out mom and her teenage daughter who magically swap bodies and must navigate each other’s lives for a day before mom’s wedding. Based on the Disney films and Mary Rodgers’ novel, the show features a high-energy, pop-rock score by Tony winners Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey. Expect big laughs and heartfelt moments as the characters learn what it really means to be family.


Stockton Restaurant Week

Jan. 16 to 25

Stockton Restaurant Week returns for its 16th year, offering 10 days of exclusive prix-fixe menus, new dishes and special deals from top local eateries. Organized by Visit Stockton, the event celebrates the city’s diverse food scene while supporting small businesses. Diners are also encouraged to enter the #StocktonRestaurantWeek photo challenge for a chance to win restaurant gift cards.


Jo Koy: Live From Stockton
Adventist Health Arena, 248 W. Fremont St., Stockton
Jan. 16 and 17 at 8 p.m.
Admission: $45.50+

Comedian Jo Koy brings his world tour to Stockton for two nights of stand-up at the Adventist Health Arena. Known for drawing from his Filipino-American background and family life, Koy has sold out arenas across the globe and continues to release Netflix specials. These shows are part of his lead-up to headlining SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.


St. Anne’s Crab Feed Fundraiser
St. Anne’s Hall, 219 S. Church St., Lodi
Jan. 17 from 5 to 10 p.m.
Admission: $85

Support education at St. Anne’s Catholic School while enjoying a hearty meal of marinated crab, pasta, salad, bread and dessert. The evening includes a silent auction, raffle, DJ and dancing. All proceeds benefit the school’s K-8 programs. Tickets must be purchased together to ensure group seating.


Stockton Kings vs. Oklahoma City Blue: AAPI Night
Adventist Health Arena, 248 W. Fremont St., Stockton
Jan. 18 at 3 p.m.
Admission: Ticket prices vary

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander culture at this themed night hosted by the Stockton Kings. The game includes an AAPI jersey giveaway presented by Stockton Honda. Come early or stay late to explore local restaurants near the arena and cheer on Stockton’s G League team as they take on the Oklahoma City Blue.
