From small-town festival traditions to stand-up comedy and community celebrations, the third weekend of February brings a wide mix of events across Stockton and nearby Ripon. Families can enjoy carnival rides and parades, theatergoers can catch a new stage production, and sports fans can head downtown for a themed game night. Ripon Almond Blossom Festival

The Ripon Almond Blossom Festival returns for its annual celebration, traditionally held the last weekend of February. Hosted by the Ripon Chamber of Commerce, the family-friendly festival features a carnival, Queen Coronation, community parade and fun run with 1-mile and 8K race options. It is often considered the first major festival of the season in the region. Visitors can spend the day exploring Ripon’s downtown, enjoying food vendors and making a weekend of it with kids in tow.
Grand Horizons

Stockton Civic Theatre presents “Grand Horizons,” a contemporary comedy-drama about a long-married couple navigating an unexpected late-in-life divorce. As their adult sons struggle to understand the decision, the family is forced to confront assumptions about love, identity and happiness. The play blends humor with heartfelt moments and continues select performances through March 7. Arrive early for parking and seating, especially on weekend evenings.
Tim Allen

Comedian and actor Tim Allen brings his stand-up tour to downtown Stockton for one night only. Known for his roles in “Home Improvement,” “Last Man Standing,” “The Santa Clause” films and as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in “Toy Story,” Allen returns to his roots with an evening of live comedy. Guests are encouraged to review venue policies in advance and consider dining at nearby downtown restaurants before the show.
Black Businesses Unite!
San Joaquin Delta College, Danner Hall, 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton
Feb. 21 from noon to 3:30 p.m.

Black Businesses Unite is a free community event showcasing more than 20 Black and African American entrepreneurs from Stockton and surrounding areas. Attendees can browse vendors offering food, beauty products, clothing, art and other services. The event is designed to uplift local businesses and create space for connection and empowerment. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Stockton Kings vs. Oklahoma City Blue: Black History Night
Adventist Health Arena, 248 W. Fremont St., Stockton
Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.
Admission: Ticket prices vary
The Stockton Kings host the Oklahoma City Blue for a special Black History Night at Adventist Health Arena. The afternoon game includes a themed celebration and a championship key chain giveaway. Fans can explore downtown Stockton before or after tipoff and support local restaurants and businesses nearby. The Kings are the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings and continue their regular season through March.
