Good morning, Stockton.
Following revelations uncovered by Stocktonia, Stockton City Council members are moving to hold a vote on whether Mayor Christina Fugazi’s spokesperson, Jason Teramoto, should remain in his city-appointed role, Aaron Leathley reports.
The move comes days after Stocktonia reported city emails had revealed City Clerk Katherine Roland alleged that Teramoto attempted to influence the June primary election and sought an investigation into his actions. Teramoto has previously denied similar allegations, calling them meritless.
In other news, Ted Lehrer, speaks out after he was stabbed multiple times while waiting for a bus in downtown Stockton last Thursday. Lehrer, a campaign consultant, is currently working on two campaigns for candidates running for Stockton City Council, sought to separate the attack from his work, calling it “random” and “unprovoked.”
