Good morning, Stockton.

We’re tracking primary election news across the county and state.

The three Stockton City Council members running for reelection are leading as ballots are still being counted from California’s primary election. Only District 1’s Michele Padilla was clinging to a margin above 50%. If her 51% holds, there will be no November runoff for that district.

In District 3, Michael Blower led with 46%, and newcomer Jessica Toccoli had 39%. And in District 5, Brando Villapudua had 36%. His closest challenger, Desiree Lynch, was about 6 percentage points behind.

We heard from the Office of the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters that the next batch of returns — including those from mailed ballots — isn’t expected until Friday.

Be sure to check out all of our election coverage below.
