It’s been a week full of protests in Stockton.

A rally Wednesday at Victory Park and last night’s march on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard protested ICE arrests and deportations. Today, more demostrators are expected to gather for the No Kings Day of Defiance – a nationwide demonstration against President Donald Trump on his birthday. Chris Woodyard has the story.

Meanwhile, opening statements are set to begin Tuesday in the criminal trial of former Stockton Unified School District Board President AngelAnn Flores, who is accused of embezzlement and insurance fraud after jury selection wrapped up this week. Read more from Andrea Baltodano.

I also have some ideas for you if you’re looking for things to do this Father’s Day weekend.
