In the State Senate District 5 race, Jim Shoemaker holds a slim lead of just under 3 points over Jerry McNerney.
Meanwhile, the tight contest for the District 3 seat on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors has Lathrop Mayor Sonny Dhaliwal and Manteca Mayor Steve DeBrum separated by only 500 votes. See the full story linked below.
