Good morning, Stockton.

👋 Hi readers,
This past Thursday, I joined our Stocktonia team and community advisory board members at the Central Valley Asian-American Chamber of Commerce’s 7th Annual “Breaking the Bamboo Ceiling” event.
It was inspiring to hear about Kristen Go’s journey—she’s a Stockton native and now the Editor-in-Chief of CalMatters, and to see a traditional dress fashion show that celebrated the rich diversity of our local Asian communities—Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Korean, Indian, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Malaysian, Thai, Laotian, Hmong, and Pacific Islander.
In today’s newsletter, we’ve got coverage of local election races, including Stockton Unified’s nine candidates for three open board seats, the Delta College trustee race, and the challenges facing Lodi’s wine industry. Plus, a look at the Victory Park pool groundbreaking.
Enjoy the weekend.
