An 11-year-old girl killed in a collision over the weekend in Stockton was identified Monday by the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Queen Norwood, of Stockton, died at a hospital following a car crash Sunday morning in the 5800 block of N. El Dorado Street near Swain Avenue that involved six children.

Police said they responded to the area at 7:45 a.m. Sunday after a vehicle hit a tree.

Five girls, ages 11 to 15, and a 13-year-old boy were found at the scene.

Norwood was taken to hospital but died from her injuries, police said.

The other children were taken to a hospital and are expected to survive.

A GoFundMe account was set up for Norwood and can be found at https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-us-in-giving-our-queen-the-home-going-she-deserves .

Police did not clarify who was driving the car, or the cause of the crash.

However, they said they believe the minors were the only occupants of the vehicle.

A spokesperson for the Stockton Police Department said it was early in the investigation and said they couldn’t confirm who was seated where, or who the driver was.

“We encourage parents to know where their children are at all times and be mindful of their car keys. We don’t condone anyone to drive illegally and out of their means,” a spokesperson for the Stockton Police Department said. “Our thoughts are with the family, and everyone involved.”
