Stockton police are investigating two separate shootings in the city Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

The first shooting was reported at about 9:35 p.m. in the area of South Fresno Avenue and Navy Drive in southwest Stockton. A 30-year-old man was walking in the area when a vehicle drove by and someone in it shot him, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

The second shooting was reported at 12:23 a.m. Thursday in the 7000 block of Tristan Circle in north Stockton, where officers arrived to find a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with what were described as serious injuries, police said.

Investigators have not released any suspect information in connection with either shooting.
