Stockton police said they have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the killing of an 18-year-old who was shot last December.
Officers were called to the 300 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 6 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2024, and found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died of his injuries on Dec. 18, the Stockton Police Department recalled.
Detectives later identified Carlos Romero as a suspect during the investigation, according to police. He was found in Stockton and arrested on Tuesday.
Police said Romero was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of homicide and narcotics-related crimes.
