A man was shot outside a grocery store on Monday morning in central west Stockton on the same block where a 17-year-old boy was slain just about a week earlier.

The man was shot around 8:49 a.m. Monday outside of the Safeway grocery store on Country Club Boulevard, according to the Stockton Police Department. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for a “non-life-threatening injury,” according to the police.

The shooting was five blocks west of the site of the murder on Sunday evening, Dec. 28. Noah Juan Auburn Tracy, 17, was killed outside of People’s Market on Country Club Blvd.

One woman and two additional men were also injured in the December shooting and were transported or self-transported to local hospitals for treatment, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.

This investigations into both cases is also ongoing.
