The Lodi Police Department is launching an initiative to highlight unsolved cold cases over the next two weeks, officials say.

Investigators will focus on two to three investigations each day starting Tuesday, aiming to generate new leads from the public, the department said on social media.

Cold cases, as defined by the department, are criminal investigations that remain open but inactive due to a lack of fresh evidence. The fresh attention to these cases aims to provide resolution for victims and their families who are still seeking answers, Lodi police said.

“We encourage the public to follow our upcoming posts for details on each highlighted case,” the department said. “Anyone with information is urged to come forward and help us move these investigations forward.”

Anyone with tips are being asked to contact the Lodi Police Department directly and submit information.
