A 21-year-old man is dead after being struck by a car during an altercation in east Stockton, according to the Stockton Police Department.
Officers responded to a crash that happened at around 10:50 p.m. Sunday near the 3300 block of East Main Street in the Park District of Stockton, police said. The victim and unidentified suspects were in an altercation.
As the suspects reportedly fled the scene, police said they hit the victim with their car.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
Detectives responded to assist with the investigation, police said.
The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office did not immediately respond to Stocktonia’s request for the victim’s identity.
No arrests have been reported and there is no suspect information at this time, police said. The investigation remains ongoing.
