My colleague, Cassie Dickman, has been sifting through public records related to the controversial hiring of Stockton interim City Manager Steve Colangelo, who lacked civic operations experience.
She just broke the story that a few days after Colangelo was hired in February, and without council approval, he hired an $11,000-a-month consultant to help him do his job. That’s on top of the more than $20,000 salary he’s being paid each month.
Plus, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Luneta Post 52 held a Memorial Day event at Stockton Civic Auditorium to honor those who died in service of our country.
