There are only a few days left to see the Stockton Lantern Festival.
“Koda’s Journey Through the Magic Ocean” concludes an 8-week run Sunday at the Stockton Ballpark.
The interactive walking experience brings a vibrant underwater world to life, featuring lantern displays of colorful fish, coral and marine creatures. Inspired by a class trip to the Georgia Aquarium, the event has captivated visitors since the festival opened Nov. 22.
The buzz surrounding the festival has been undeniable. Attendees have praised the dazzling lanterns and immersive atmosphere.
The event includes 20,000 LED bulbs, over 82,000 feet of light rope and 11,500 feet of fabric in the larger-than-life creations. The art installations are hand-crafted by lantern artisans using the ancient technique of traditional Chinese lantern-making.
Tickets start at $20 for children and $25 for adults for this weekend’s final performances, with doors opening at 5:30 each evening. For tickets and more information, visit the Stockton Lantern Festival website.
