The head coach for Tracy High School’s football team was arrested after his cellphone was reportedly found recording students while they were changing clothes on campus.
A local police spokesperson confirmed to Stocktonia on Saturday that 48-year-old Jeffrey Pribble was arrested a day earlier. They said that detectives were still interviewing students at the school. No charges have been announced.
Authorities were first contacted by a parent regarding Pribble on Thursday; some students had allegedly discovered a cell phone inside a locker room recording them. After stopping the recording, they deleted the footage before contacting a teacher. Officials later determined that the phone belonged to Pribble.
According to ABC10-TV, the Tracy Unified School District contacted district parents about the arrest, saying that the district was cooperating with police in the investigation.
Pribble has been the school’s varsity football coach since 2021. He first joined the program in 2003 as a volunteer coach.
