Stockton police arrested two 28-year-old men on Friday in connection with the death of a 74-year-old who disappeared in August.
The department said in a Facebook post that Luis Moran “was arrested for homicide” a day after officials served a search warrant for a residence in the 1500 block of South San Joaquin Street. Francisco Renteria-Sanchez was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory. They remain in custody in San Joaquin County jail.
The missing man, who has not been identified, was last seen Aug. 24.
During the investigation, police spotted his vehicle sitting unoccupied on the same block where they served the search warrant.
The man was found dead in what police called an unincorporated area of San Joaquin County.
