Over the weekend, people will have the chance to attend the two-day StocktonCon Winter 2024 event at the Adventist Health Arena in Stockton.
Last year, thousands of cosplayers, or costumed characters, dressed as Star Wars, Chainsaw Man, Hulk, and other characters attended the fifth annual convention.
It was the first time the event had been held over two days since its inception.
Planners for the event said this year there will be more than 200 artists and exhibitors in addition to special guests.
According to the StocktonCon event page on Facebook, some special guests will include voice actor Tom Kenny from Spongebob Squarepants and Adventure Time, actor Kyle Pacek from The Mandalorian, voice actress Michelle Ruff of Bleach and Sailor Moon as well as actor Andrey Ivchenko from the show Stranger Things. Professional wrestlers Trish Stratus, Lita and “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan are also scheduled to appear.
In previous years there was an Exhibitors and Artists Alley where hundreds of booths could be viewed along with tables of merchandise, comic books, manga, posters and action figures.
Fans who attend the event will have a chance to find lost treasures, new collectibles and art commissions.
On Saturday and Sunday, doors will open at 11 a.m. and the event is set to conclude at 5 p.m.
