The Corral Fire in San Joaquin County is 100 percent contained, Cal Fire officials said Thursday evening.

The blaze began around 2:30 p.m. Saturday near Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Site 300 southwest of Tracy and burned 14,168 acres.

The fire, which closed part of Interstate Highway 580 over the weekend, was fully contained, Cal Fire said shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Cal Fire earlier said two firefighters suffered minor to moderate burn injuries as they were working to extinguish the flames.
