Jiu Jitsu World League: Golden State XII
Date: Saturday, May 17, at 7 a.m.
Location: Adventist Health Arena, 248 W. Fremont St., Stockton
Admission: Tickets available at the door
The Jiu Jitsu World League brings its Golden State XII tournament to downtown Stockton for a full day of high-energy grappling competition. With divisions for all ages and skill levels in both Gi and No Gi categories, this national-level event is a must-see for martial arts fans.
35th Annual Children & Youth Day
Date: Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: Pixie Woods, 3121 Monte Diablo Ave., Stockton
Admission: Free
This long-running family festival celebrates youth with live entertainment, games, activities and community resources. This year’s theme is “Around the World.”
Linden Cherry Festival
Date: Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Linden Elementary School Grounds, 18100 E. Front St., Linden
Admission: Free
A beloved small-town tradition, the Linden Cherry Festival returns with a 10 a.m. parade, live music, food vendors, a cherry-pie-eating contest and children’s activities to celebrate the region’s cherry harvest.
Children’s Dance Theatre Presents: ‘Beetlejuice’

- Sunday, May 18, at 1 p.m.
Location: Grand Theatre Center for the Arts, 715 N. Central Ave., Tracy
Admission: $24–$44
The Children’s Dance Theatre brings the cult classic “Beetlejuice” to life through dance and theater. Audiences will follow the ghostly tale of Adam and Barbara as they haunt their home and encounter the wild world of Beetlejuice. Suitable for families and fans of the quirky original.
Races at Delta Speedway
Date: Saturday, May 17
Location: San Joaquin County Fairgrounds, 1658 S. Airport Way, Stockton
Admission:
- General: $10
- Seniors and children ages 6–12: $5
- Children 5 and under: Free
- Pit passes: $25
Head to the Delta Speedway for an adrenaline-packed night of micro sprint racing on the 1/7-mile dirt oval. Classes include Junior Sprint, Restricted, Non-Wing and Super 600. Gates open in the afternoon with races under the lights.
