Independence Day weekend in Stockton will be packed with celebration, community spirit and high-stakes sports. From morning parades and museum visits to evening fireworks and playoff soccer, the city offers plenty of ways to make the most of the holiday.

Stockton Ports Independence Celebration & Fireworks
Date: Thursday, July 3 at 7:05 p.m.
Location: Stockton Ballpark, 404 W. Fremont St., Stockton
Celebrate early with America’s pastime as the Stockton Ports take on the San Jose Giants. Enjoy ballpark food, the Delta breeze and postgame fireworks presented by Black Oak Casino Resort. Individual ticket prices start at $13.


Downtown Stockton 4th of July Parade & Festival
Date: Friday, July 4 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Parade Route: Starts at DeCarli Plaza, loops through El Dorado, Oak and Center Streets
Festival & Fireworks: Weber Point Events Center, fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
This all-day community tradition kicks off with a classic parade at 10 a.m., followed by an afternoon festival with food, music and family fun. The celebration wraps with a fireworks show over the waterfront.


Stockton Cargo SC: USL W Playoffs
Dates: July 4–6
Location: St. Mary’s High School, 5648 N. El Dorado St., Stockton
Fresh off an undefeated regular season, Stockton Cargo SC hosts the USL W Western Conference Playoffs. Friday’s semifinal matchups begin at 4 p.m., with Cargo playing at 7 p.m. The championship match kicks off Sunday, July 6 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth. Parking is $5.


Free Admission Day at The Haggin Museum
Date: Saturday, July 5 from 12 to 5 p.m.
Location: 1201 N. Pershing Ave., Stockton
Celebrate local history and fine art at no cost. On the first Saturday of every month, the Haggin opens its doors for free, inviting the public to explore 19th- and 20th-century paintings, cultural exhibits and rotating installations. Located in the heart of Victory Park.
