The sound of trumpets, trombones, and rapid guitar strums will fill the air on Sunday as the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds transform into a day-long showcase of Mexican music and culture.

Huapango Banda Fest is set to bring together people from Stockton and neighboring communities, combining live bands, high-energy shows, and mouth watering street food. Organizers say the event is more than a concert — it’s a gathering place for families and friends to dance, sing, and enjoy the day.

Gates open at 1 p.m., with performances from Banda La Leal, Los Grandes de la Banda, Tamborazo Banda 4Vientos, Banda Los Nuevos Caporales, La Realezza Norteña, Grupo Alto Viaje, and Jaime Echeverría, plus a few more surprise musical guests starting at 7 p.m. Also joining the lineup is viral dancing sibling duo Andie and Melanie Orozco, as well as Roger Gomez, Vagos Entertainment, and Jovanni Beltrán.

Event organizers emphasize that the Huapango Banda Fest is a family-friendly celebration, welcoming all ages. “It’s about bringing people together, honoring culture, and making memories,” they said.

Beyond the music, families can enjoy Lucha Libre Mexicana, complete with masked wrestlers, as well as a mechanical bull and a dance contest. Vendors will offer foods such as Bírria, Tacos, Raspados and more, turning the fairgrounds into a safe space for everyone.

Tickets are $35 (plus tax) and are available at ticketón.com. Tickets will continue to increase each day until the day of the festival.

The San Joaquin County Fairgrounds are located at 1658 S. Airport Way, Stockton, CA 95206.
