From classic musical theater to experimental art and a lakeside fishing derby, this weekend’s events across Lodi and Stockton highlight the diversity of community celebrations in San Joaquin County. Whether you’re in the mood to support local dance, take the kids to meet Santa or celebrate culture through food and music, here’s your Nov. 14–16 weekend guide:

“Annie” presented by St. Peter Community Theatre
Nov. 14–16 | St. Peter Church Auditorium, 2400 Oxford Way, Lodi | $20–$40

The sun will come out onstage in Lodi as Annie returns to the spotlight. St. Peter Community Theatre brings the beloved musical to life with a run of six performances spread across two weekends. Set in Depression-era New York, Annie tells the story of an optimistic orphan who escapes the clutches of cruel Miss Hannigan and finds hope, family and belonging with billionaire Oliver Warbucks.

Audiences of all ages can enjoy iconic songs like “Tomorrow” and “Hard Knock Life” in this family-friendly show filled with heart, humor and a loyal dog named Sandy.

Upcycled Garden at Horton Art Gallery
Now through Dec. 12 | San Joaquin Delta College, Horton Gallery, 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton | Free

Artist Daniel “Attaboy” Seifert brings his touring installation Upcycled Garden to Stockton, featuring sculptures made entirely of locally sourced cardboard and leftover house paint. Each piece is a visual diary of consumption, transforming discarded packaging into blooming forms that are both whimsical and meaningful.

Originally created during the pandemic as a form of therapeutic play, the installation has traveled to 10 cities and will spend a year at the Hunter Museum of American Art in 2026. In this Delta College edition, Attaboy collaborates with local art students to expand the garden further.

Delta College Dance: “Identity”
Nov. 14–15 | 7:30–9 p.m. | Tillie Lewis Theatre, 5151 Pacific Ave., Stockton

Celebrate the art of movement as San Joaquin Delta College presents DANCE: IDENTITY, a powerful, student-led performance exploring themes of culture, expression and individuality through choreography. Gather your dance enthusiast group or support local performing arts with an evening of community-driven creativity.


Annual Trout Bout at Oak Grove Regional Park
Nov. 15 | 6:15 a.m.–12:30 p.m. | 4520 W. Eight Mile Road, Stockton

Grab your gear and head to the lake for the Annual Trout Bout, hosted by San Joaquin County Parks and the Delta Fly Fishers. Over 2,000 pounds of Rainbow Trout will be stocked ahead of the tournament, with separate prize categories for youth and adult anglers.

Kids 15 and under fish free. For ages 16 and up, a $5 permit and valid California fishing license are required. Entry is free, but parking is $6 per vehicle.

Registration closes at 10 a.m., and the last weigh-in is at 12:30 p.m.


Celebrate Culture at the Fairgrounds
Nov. 15 | 11 a.m.–4 p.m. | Building 3, San Joaquin County Fairgrounds, 1658 S. Airport Way, Stockton | Free

In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, the 4th Annual Celebrate Culture event returns to the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds with food vendors, art, live music and educational booths. It’s a vibrant opportunity to learn about different cultures while supporting local artisans and performers.

This free, family-friendly event invites the community to come together and honor diversity through shared experience.


Lincoln Center Christmas Faire
Nov. 16 | 11 a.m.–5 p.m. | 374 Lincoln Center, Stockton | Free

Kick off the holiday season at Lincoln Center’s annual Christmas Faire. The popular one-day celebration features festive decorations, train rides, live holiday music, snow machines and Santa Claus himself.

Families can shop local at seasonal pop-ups, enjoy in-store specials or warm up with a drink and meal at one of the many restaurants throughout the center.

From reindeer photo ops to winter wonder, it’s a Stockton holiday tradition worth marking on the calendar.
