From Broadway musicals and Christmas concerts to boxing showdowns and pottery workshops, there’s something for everyone in Stockton this December weekend. Whether you’re looking to laugh, create, cheer or reflect, here’s a look at what’s happening Dec. 12 through Dec. 14.

“Anastasia” at Stockton Civic Theatre

Stockton Civic Theatre closes out its run of “Anastasia,” a stage musical inspired by the animated film and the legend of the lost Russian duchess. Set in the twilight of the Russian Empire and the glamour of 1920s Paris, the story follows a brave young woman, Anya, on her journey to uncover the mystery of her past.
With sweeping music and an epic adventure involving a Soviet officer, a charming conman and a displaced aristocrat bring history and fantasy to life.

“Journey to the Manger“

“Journey to the Manger” is a Christmas musical presented by The Home Church in Lodi. The story follows Nathan as he explores past holiday traditions and ultimately arrives at the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.
The production features more than 100 actors, vocalists and crew members in an uplifting retelling of the Christmas story.

“A Timeless Christmas: A Christmas Concert” featuring Filo

University of the Pacific alumnus and American Idol finalist Filo Ebid returns for “A Timeless Christmas: A Christmas Concert” featuring more than 40 performers. With a full orchestra, choir and rhythm section, the show includes classic songs like “O Holy Night,” “The Christmas Song” and “Last Christmas.”

Christmas tree pottery workshop
Dec. 13 | 10 a.m.–12 p.m. | The Well, 1200 N. Center St. | $35
Create a handmade ceramic Christmas tree luminary at this beginner-friendly pottery class hosted at The Well. All tools, glaze colors and kiln firing are included, and your finished piece will be ready for pickup in three to four weeks.

Matchroom Boxing: Pacheco vs. Sadjo with Stockton’s Gabriel Flores Jr.
Dec. 13 | 2 p.m. start | Adventist Health Arena, 248 W. Fremont St. | $39+
Stockton native Gabriel Flores Jr. returns home to fight Joe Cordina in a pivotal matchup that could push the 25-year-old closer to a world title shot. Flores is riding a six-fight win streak and currently ranks No. 4 in the World Boxing Organization.
The card is headlined by super-middleweight contender Diego Pacheco (24-0) against Kevin Lele Sadjo (26-0), both undefeated and chasing title opportunities of their own.

Louis C.K. | “Ridiculous” tour

Comedian Louis C.K. brings his “Ridiculous” tour to Stockton for two nights at the Bob Hope Theatre. A six-time Emmy and three-time Grammy winner, C.K. is known for his raw storytelling and sharp humor. He has released more than 10 stand-up specials and created the acclaimed shows “Louie and Horace and Pete.”
