May kicks off with one of the busiest weekends of the spring, as festivals, sporting events and live performances take over venues across Stockton.

El Concilio hosts the annual Cinco de Mayo festival at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds, featuring live music, dancing, artisan vendors, food booths and family activities. The celebration includes carnival rides, health screenings and a car show. On May 3, a downtown parade runs from 10 a.m. to noon near Weber Point Events Center.
The Stockton Ports host the Fresno Grizzlies at Banner Island Ballpark in a Pajama Night celebration presented by JB Air. Fans can enjoy waterfront views, ballpark concessions and a pajama-themed promotion during the game.
International hypnotist John Milton brings his Mundial De Hypnosis Tour to the Bob Hope Theatre for a live performance, blending comedy, audience participation and hypnotic demonstrations. The show features interactive entertainment centered on the power of suggestion.
Stockton 99 Speedway continues its 2026 racing season with late models, mini stocks and sprint cars competing on the quarter-mile track. The event features multiple racing divisions and family-seating options.
Pixie Woods Children’s Park opens its 2026 season with rides, playgrounds and family attractions, including the Pixie Express Train and carousel. Opening activities run 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with the park open until 4.
The Underground Arcade hosts a free Comic Giveaway Day, featuring comic books while supplies last, arcade games and a pop culture marketplace with local vendors. The youth-owned cooperative invites families to explore games and collectibles.
Classical Arts Entertainment presents “The Sleeping Beauty” at the Bob Hope Theatre, featuring an international cast with choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov set to Tchaikovsky’s score. The full-length ballet includes elaborate costumes and staging.
