The final weekend of May features community traditions, live sports and outdoor events across Stockton and Lodi.

From a multiday dog show and tailgate celebration to racing, live music and local festivals, here’s what’s happening May 29-31.

Description

The San Joaquin Kennel Club hosts its annual dog show at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds. Hundreds of dogs compete for Best in Show during the four-day event. Visitors can explore food vendors and booths featuring dog-related products. The event also offers tours and educational materials on training and responsible pet selection. Parking is $10.

Description

Delta Speedway hosts micro sprint racing at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds dirt oval. Divisions include Junior Sprint, Restricted, Non-Wing and Super 600 classes. The event is part of the 2026 racing season schedule.

Description

The Stockton Ports and Kommunity Hub Norcal host an Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration featuring a free pregame tailgate ahead of the evening's ballgame. The tailgate includes music, cultural performances, vendors and family activities. Community organizations will share resources. The first 1,000 ticket-holders entering the game receive a Hawaiian shirt.
