You can kick off the first weekend of August with a mix of family-friendly events across Stockton.
Baseball returns downtown, classic cars cruise into Waterloo, longtime attractions continue their summer schedules and local entertainment venues offer everything from racing to a classic comedy on the big screen.

Take yourself out to the ballgame as the Stockton Ports host the Lake Elsinore Storm at Stockton Ballpark. Fans can enjoy an evening of California League baseball while cheering on the Ports during another homestand in downtown Stockton.
Stockton Cruise Nights at Waterloo's Gun & Bocce Club
Stockton Cruise Nights returns with an evening of classic cars, custom builds, lowriders and modern classics at Waterloo's Gun & Bocce Club. The family-friendly event features local vendors, artists and small businesses, with food and drinks available for purchase on-site. July's cruise night takes place July 31 instead of the usual fourth Friday schedule.
The Haggin Museum opens its doors free of charge on the first Saturday of the month. Visitors can explore the museum's permanent art and local history collections, along with rotating exhibitions and displays celebrating Stockton's past.
The New Stockton 99 Speedway continues its 2026 racing season with Night of Champions: Tribute to Harry Belletto. Fans can watch Stockton Late Models, NorCal Legend Series and Fast Kar Solution Mini Modifieds compete during another evening of high-speed racing at one of the nation's oldest operating paved tracks.
Friends of the Fox Presents: 'National Lampoon's Vacation'
Friends of the Fox continues its monthly classic movie series with a screening of "National Lampoon's Vacation" at the Bob Hope Theatre. Doors open an hour before showtime with live music on the Robert Morton Organ beginning at 1:30 p.m. before the film starts.
