It may be the dog days of summer, but there’s still plenty of cool things to do across Stockton during the second weekend of August.
Comedy, live music, family activities, motorsports and cultural performances headline another busy stretch of programming.

The Haggin Museum's First & Third Thursday series continues with comedian Stephen B, joined by Cookie Williams and hosted by Roman Guzman. Guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine before the show while exploring the museum during an evening designed for friends, couples and comedy fans.
University of the Pacific and the Alphorn Association of North America host the inaugural Northern California Alphorn Festival. The four-day celebration includes free public performances in Stockton, Lodi and Sacramento while bringing together musicians, educators and newcomers interested in the traditional Swiss instrument.
Stockton Police Department Public Safety Day
The Stockton Police Department invites families to Weber Point for a free day of games, demonstrations and community activities. The event includes a volleyball tournament, tug-of-war, bike rodeo, face painting, gaming tournament, live music and opportunities to meet local public safety agencies.
Families can enjoy hands-on art and STEM activities inspired by the Haggin Museum's collections during its monthly 2nd Saturdays program. Children will create watercolor storyboards, participate in interactive learning activities and explore the museum through self-guided gallery experiences.
The New Stockton 99 Speedway continues its 2026 racing season with Stockton Pro Late Models, Stockton Mini Stocks, Pure Stocks and NCMA Sprint Cars competing under the lights. The historic quarter-mile track remains one of the region's premier destinations for Saturday night racing.
Kpop Circus brings two live performances to Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium, combining K-pop music, dance and circus acts into a family-friendly production.
