As summer nears its end, Stockton’s events calendar isn’t slowing down.
New art exhibitions are opening, community traditions return and live entertainment is filling venues across the city.
Here are a few events happening Aug. 27-30.

The Horton Art Gallery at San Joaquin Delta College opens the latest edition of Visions in Clay, the San Joaquin Valley's largest ceramics exhibition. The annual showcase features works from artists across the country, including Delta College alumni, while also highlighting the legacy of renowned ceramic artist and Delta alumna Viola Frey. The exhibition remains on display through Oct. 2.
The Stockton Ports return to Stockton Ballpark for Bay Area Baseball Weekend as they host the Ontario Tower Buzzers. Fans can enjoy another evening of Minor League Baseball along the downtown waterfront while taking part in one of the team's featured promotional nights of the season.
Stockton Cruise Nights at Waterloo Gun and Bocce Club
Stockton Cruise Nights continues its monthly gathering with an evening of classic cars, custom builds and lowriders at the Waterloo Gun and Bocce Club. The free event also features local vendors, food and a family-friendly atmosphere that has made it a popular community tradition.
Comedian Gary Owen brings his No Hard Feelings Tour to the Bob Hope Theatre. Known for his stand-up specials, film roles and television appearances, Owen's latest tour features new material following a string of sold-out performances across the country.
The eighth annual Tequila Festival returns to Weber Point Events Center with tequila tastings, handcrafted margaritas, live entertainment and local food vendors. Performances throughout the day include Baby Bash, Richard Bean of Malo, D-Shot, Richie Rich and Rappin' 4-Tay, along with pro wrestling and family-friendly activities.
17th annual Stockton Bathtub Boat Race
The Stockton Bathtub Boat Race returns to Louis Park Boat Launch for another afternoon of homemade watercraft racing. Participants compete in creative, nonmotorized boats while spectators cheer them on during one of Stockton's most unique annual traditions.
August wraps up with another weekend that reflects the variety of events happening throughout Stockton.
