The Civil Grand Jury of San Joaquin County released a scathing report on Monday finding the 209 Times social media site has affected the workings of Stockton’s city government with a campaign of bullying and threats.
The 16-page report also criticizes unnamed city officials for enabling the actions of the controversial website, which is operated by Motecuzoma Sanchez and Frank Gayaldo, as well as not properly addressing violations of the Brown Act concerning closed session meetings and other issues.

Unfortunately I doubt if the unethical members of the council or the future mayor (either one) will do anything as they are complicit with that biased website. The DA seems to be complicit also. Many people that read that website love the BS and believe it without checking any facts. I thank the Grand Jury for this investigation and pray this does lead to changes for the good.
I encourage the community if you are able to show up even for 10 minutes to the City council meeting for a non agenda public comment, to say something as we are always better in numbers. Please don’t let leaders sweep this under the rug, as SUSD also had several grand jury reports. The first step to healing our community is awareness. Let’s lead with truth because our Stockton community deserves so much better. ⛓️💥🫶🏼💛
Stocktonia, now it’s time for you guys to reach out to Meta, X and other social media platforms’ media departments to question why 209 Times’ posts when flagged for cyberbullying are not removed and why they clearly violate the community standards.
If you want to “get ahead” in Stockton, you have to bow down to the 209 Times and their agenda narrative. Everyone is too afraid of them to do anything about it. As long as they have over 371K followers on IG & 178K on FB…. they will never stop. They know how to manipulate the masses and understand the algorithm like any other teenager: toxic content gets engagement. As long as people continue to give their time, attention, and follow to their platforms, they will remain the power brokers of Stockton. They are the emperor behind the jade screen.
What’s being describe in this report goes beyond bullying and harassment. Along with probable election code violations, we’re talking about extortion and racketeering. I suspect federal indictments may well be on their way — which might help explain why Sanchez is currently out of the country.
We can only hope!
