Hello, Stocktonia readers. We’re excited to kick off our fall crowdfunding campaign in today’s edition. Our goal is to raise $6,000 by Sept. 27.
We’re raising this money specifically to help support our coverage of county government and elections in this critical election year.
Will you help us by chipping in?
We’ve also got plenty of news for you today. Photojournalist Annie Barker spent a year shadowing four formerly incarcerated people who now have meaningful lives outside prison. Follow their journey as Annie details — in words, photographs and videos — what life is like after lockup for these individuals.
You may have noticed a familiar face was officially welcomed into our fold over the weekend. Former intern Andrea Baltodano has joined Stocktonia full time as a reporter, and we couldn’t be more delighted. We know you will be too!
And be sure to scope out what’s on the Stockton City Council agenda before today’s meeting.
Finally, we’ve rounded up a new list of events happening across the area this week. There’s a lot going on, and we hope to see you out there!
