Good morning, Stockton.

Scott Linesburgh

It’s been a rainy week in Stockton! A series of atmospheric river storms that began last Friday saw the city pretty waterlogged by the end of the week, when the skies finally began to clear.

The three storms dumped over 2 inches of rain, based on totals from the National Weather Service. Tuesday brought the highest rain tally – more than an inch in 24 hours – and the city saw some localized flooding. But that wasn’t the end of it.

The last in the trio of storms settled in with a cold, rainy Thursday. And the city is now facing several nights with temperatures hovering near freezing.

Because of this, Stockton has opened warming centers at its two community centers. Both will be available 8 p.m.-7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday for residents without access to heat or proper shelter.

Read more about the overnight offerings here. And as always, stay safe!
