Whether planning to visit Lodi wine country for the first time or returning to the region, consider stopping by the Lodi Wine Visitor Center.
This quaint tasting room and bottle shop located on the beautiful grounds of the Wine & Roses Resort at 2545 W. Turner Road is the place to get maps and information to begin your journey or relax in comfort while tasting amazing wines that showcase the talent of the growers and winemakers in the Lodi American Viticultural Area.
The Lodi Winegrape Commission, composed of Lodi’s 750 wine grape growers that tend some 100,000 acres of vines, operates the Lodi Wine Visitor Center daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tasting flights, wines by the glass, and about 200 bottles of delicious reds, whites, roses, sparkling wines, and blends are waiting for you. At least 85 percent of the grapes in every bottle must have been grown in the Lodi American Viticultural Area (AVA) to be offered at the wine & visitor center.
Certified sommelier Paul Marsh manages the wine & visitor center and does an expert job curating an eclectic selection of wines that represent the region’s high quality and diversity. Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Lodi’s signature variety, Zinfandel, stand alongside dozens of more rare varieties, like Albarino, Cinsault, and Teroldego, which all thrive in Lodi’s well-draining, sandy loam soils and classic Mediterranean climate.
The quality and accessibility the region offers is staggering.

At the wine visitor center, take a map that shows Lodi’s array of tasting rooms, so you can develop a plan of attack.
Get answers to your questions from a crew of knowledgeable, local wine experts eager to share their passion about Lodi’s growers and wineries.
Check out a display of soil samples from Lodi’s seven micro-AVAs.
Tour the demonstration vineyard.
Grab some lunch at the Towne Corner café located next to the tasting room.
Or find a comfortable spot inside the tasting room or outdoors on the patio and sample a flight of four wines from a menu that changes weekly.
If you would like to have specially selected Lodi wines delivered to you or available to pick up on a quarterly or semi-annual basis, join the wine club. It’s free to join and the benefits include complimentary tastings for members and up to two guests, as well as discounts on bottles, cases, and Lodi Wine merchandise.
Stop by the Lodi Wine & Visitor Center, and if I’m there pouring on the weekend, please say hello!
