A juvenile was arrested last week in Stockton in connection to the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man, police said.
Police said the 17-year-old boy was detained and booked into the San Joaquin County Juvenile Hall in connection to the shooting that occurred last Tuesday in the 1900 block of Nisperos Street.
According to police, officers responded to reports of a person shot at Dominque and Nisperos Street at 10:03 p.m.
The victim was located at the scene with gunshot wounds and died after being taken to a hospital.
In a Facebook post, family members identified the victim as Aizik Anthony Provencio.
They said he was the first grandchild of their family and a graduate from Edison High School.
The family alleged in the post that Provencio was killed during a carjacking.

I find it confusing and questionable how the media always tries to effect the public emotionally, by using such words as “juvenile, boy, man,” etc. This story is really about kids killing people…usually kids killing kids. One kid being 18 and the other being 17 doesn’t change the fact that in reality this kid killed that kid. It’s a shame parents just cannot learn the importance of parenting
