The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office on Thursday identified four men killed in separate shootings in Stockton in the past week.
There have been 39 homicides in Stockton in 2022, one more than all of last year.
Jonathan Hernandez Rodriguez, 21, of Stockton, was identified as the man found dead inside a car located in the 800 block of East Hammer Lane on Tuesday morning.
Police said officers responded at 6:41 a.m. to the area and found that Hernandez Rodriguez had been fatally shot.
Over the weekend, two men were also killed in separate shootings.
Joey Costa, 57, was found by officers on Sunday at 4:15 a.m. in the 600 block of East Oak Street.
Police said Costa had been shot multiple times and died at the scene.
Antioch resident Sauci Haywood, 19, was identified by the county coroner’s office as the man killed in last Saturday’s shooting in the 6200 block of Porterfield Court.
The coroner’s office said Haywood had an “apparent bullet” inside his body. Haywood was found in the roadway and later died at a hospital.
The fourth fatal shooting victim in the past week was 28-year-old Edward Williford, of Stockton, who died last Friday in the 900 block of Glendale Avenue. Police said he was shot and succumbed to his injuries.
The Stockton Police Department has not announced any arrests in connection with the shootings.
