Five homes were hit by gunfire and two people were injured during separate shootings over the weekend in Stockton, police said.

The most recent shootings occurred Sunday, when one man was wounded by a self-inflicted gunshot and a woman’s home was shot during the day.

Police responded at 5:18 a.m. to a local hospital, where a person arrived with a gunshot wound. A 35-year-old man had accidentally shot himself while looking into a suspicious noise at his home, according to police. The man is expected to survive.

At 10 a.m., a 32-year-old woman reported that her home, in the 2000 block of Ophir Street in the Park District, was hit by gunfire. No injuries were reported, and no suspect information was available.

Shortly after 6 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the 600 block of West Worth Street in the Seaport District after allegedly hearing gunshots.

Officers said they found three residences and three cars that had been shot, but no injuries were reported. A suspect in the shooting has not been found.

Friday night, a 19-year-old man sought help from a community member after being shot, police said. Police said the man, suffering from a gunshot wound, was in the 1400 block of Royal Oaks Drive in the Bear Creek District and flagged someone down.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment, but police have not made an arrest in connection to the shooting.

The last string of shootings took place in the 100 block of Bennington Court in the Bear Creek District early Saturday morning.

Police said a 66-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman reported at 2:15 a.m. that their home had been hit by gunfire while they were inside.

None of the victims were injured as a result of the shooting, according to police.
