The grandmother of a 28-year-old woman asked for the public’s help Thursday in locating her relative who has been missing in Stockton since last weekend.
A missing person report for Leah Whitfield, of Nevada, was taken by the Stockton Police Department.
Whitfield is described as African American, 5 feet 3 inches tall, brown eyes, and weighs approximately 100 pounds.
According to Whitfield’s grandmother, she was last seen at a celebration party in honor of her aunt at 2121 Norwich Dr., near El Dorado Street and March Lane, in Stockton.
She was last seen Saturday wearing a purple and white floral blouse with light blue short jeans with fringes, black thong sandals with bows on top and was carrying a multi-colored woven cloth satchel.
Whitfield also has a tattoo of a turtle on her stomach.
A video allegedly shows her leaving the party at 9:50 p.m. approaching a charcoal gray or black car.
Her grandmother said Whitfield suffers from PTSD after experiencing extreme trauma years ago.
Family members said they are attempting to remain in town until locating Whitfield and said she doesn’t have any personal items such as a phone or money on her.
Anyone with information on the missing person can contact the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377.
