A man allegedly holding a gun Sunday night in Stockton was shot and killed by police officers.
Police said they responded before 8 p.m. to the area of Hammer Lane and Mariners Drive after receiving a report that a man was armed with a gun.
Officers said when they arrived at the scene the man was allegedly holding a gun which prompted officers to fire their weapons at him.
It’s unclear whether the man was a threat to anyone.
The number of officers involved in the shooting and their names have not been released, but police said none were injured in the shooting.
The man died at the scene. His identity has also not been released. According to police, a multi-agency investigation is underway.
