Police in Stockton are investigating a Saturday morning homicide.
Around 10:20 a.m., officers responded to the area of Airport Way and Ralph Avenue on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a vehicle that had struck a building, causing gas and water leaks. With the help of the fire department, the area and surrounding buildings were evacuated for safety.
Police located a man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Stockton Police do not know of any motive at this time, but homicide detectives have taken over the case.
