A 26-year-old man was arrested this week in connection with a cellphone hidden inside a bathroom trash can at a Stockton bowling alley that was allegedly recording people, police said
Alejandro Aguirre was arrested on charges related to the cellphone and was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on Tuesday.
Stockton police said officers were dispatched to Pacific Avenue Bowl, located in the 5900 block of Pacific Avenue, on Sept. 28 following a report of a cellphone located in a bathroom garbage can.
Responding officers had retrieved a device that they said was located in a single-use bathroom inside of a trashcan with a hole cut out.
In September, a photo surfaced on social media that showed the trash can with the hole as well.
Police said the phone had appeared to be recording and officers collected it as evidence.
