A man suspected of setting fire to a mobile home park last month in Stockton, ultimately killing a woman and two children, was arrested Friday.

The Stockton Police Department said 59-year-old Jose Carmen Cardona was detained and booked into San Joaquin County Jail after being located in Modesto.

A U.S. Marshals Service task force assisted police with the arrest of the suspect, who had been wanted since the day of the fire.

Lisbeth Gutierrez, 32, Julian Dejesus Cardona Gutierrez, 10, and Juan Jose Gutierrez Salazar, 6, were identified as the people found dead from the arson fire on June 25.

Police said officers responded to the area of Visalia Court and Harbor Street at 6:39 a.m. after fire investigators suspected arson.

Detectives said they learned that a known suspect set the trailer on fire allegedly while the victims were inside the trailer sleeping. Cardona was identified as a suspect.

He has multiple aliases, according to police, including Jose Carmona-Estrada, Roberto Giron-Giron, Felipe Ramirez Leon, Juan Alonzo-Alemndares, Juan Alonzo, Jose Avilla Cardona and Andres Vecerra Torres.

Cardona is expected to appear in court Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Stockton.
