A 50-year-old man was arrested this week in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenage boy in Stockton last month, police said.
Anthony Young was arrested in Manteca on Wednesday by Stockton police with assistance from a U.S. Marshals Service task force in connection with a shooting reported early on the morning of Sept. 21.
Officers responded shortly before 6 a.m. that day to a hospital where the teen victim was being treated for a gunshot wound and eventually succumbed to his injuries. Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the area of Carolyn Weston Boulevard and Manthey Road, according to police.
Young was booked into San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of homicide, police said. The name of the victim was not immediately available.
