Three men who police say are Stockton gang members remained in jail Tuesday in Reno, Nevada, after being arrested in an undercover drug bust that netted $25,000 worth of fentanyl and heroin, authorities said.
The trio were arrested Jan. 28 at a Reno hotel and booked on multiple charges related to drug trafficking. Reno police said the men are members of the North Side Gangster Crips, a violent street gang from Stockton, who had come to Reno to engage in sex trafficking and drug sales.
The suspects — Jerome Tumblin, 31; Robert Nakooka, 33; and Darron Grays, 36 — remained in the Washoe County, Nevada, jail Tuesday without bail.
In making the arrests, Reno police said they seized 211 grams of fentanyl and 50 grams of heroin. They also recovered a pistol and $5,387 in cash.
Authorities also said they encountered one “victim of sex trafficking.”
The arrests were part of a joint effort by the Reno Police Department, a regional gang unit and the Northern Nevada Safe Streets Task Force.
