Hours after Lodi police reported they were searching for a missing person, officers found the body of a man inside a large shipping container in a parking lot, authorities said.
So far, however, police are not connecting the two, other than to say the body was discovered during their search. Neither the identity of the person found nor a possible cause of death have been released by the San Joaquin County medical examiner’s office.

The body was located about 4:30 p.m. Monday as officers searched the parking lot of a business in the 200 block of south Sacramento Street, Lodi police said in a statement.
Hours earlier, police announced they looking for a missing person, Ibrahim Adam Azizeh, whose age was not listed.
Azizeh has not been seen by his family since Thursday, authorities said, adding that “circumstances regarding this case have placed Ibrahim at risk.” Police did not elaborate on what those circumstances were.
The death of the man found in the shipping container is being investigated as suspicious — as is standard protocol — but a cause of death will not be formally known until an autopsy is completed, police said.
